Searching for a therapist can be a confusing and daunting process.

Please call me if you have any queries and I will be happy to discuss them with you.

I am a UKCP registered Integrative Child Psychotherapist. My practice for infants, parents, children and adults is based in Clapham and Putney, South London (please see my website for more details)

I have worked in the field of emotional and mental health for over 20 years. This has been in various mental health, psychiatric, special needs and educational settings in the UK and Romania.

I am experienced in supporting people who are in emotional crisis and those living with long term mental health conditions. Helping children and adults come to terms with difficulties they are having in their lives which may be effecting their friendships, relationships and their everyday life.

Services

Examples of how I may support you:

• Loss and Bereavement
• Stress
• Difficulty in school or at work - difficulty concentrating, bullying
• Parental separation
• Anger
• Trauma
• Anxiety and Depression
• General feeling of unhappiness
• Low self-esteem and confidence
• Difficulty making friends / forming relationships
• Difficulties bonding with your infant or child
• Mental health difficulties and illness

A consultation would take place initially where you have a chance to ask me any questions about how I work and what psychotherapy involves, discuss your needs and what support you are looking for. This is also an opportunity for me to gain a sense of you and how I may support you.

Using play and the arts in creative therapy

I utilise the creative arts in my practice alongside talking therapy where I aim to create a safe friendly environment and relationship for children and adults of all ages to express difficult feelings and thoughts that may be troubling them, or that they struggle to tell their friends or families to gain support.

Utilising the arts in therapy can help adults express and process deep or confusing experiences providing an outlet which can be more powerful than talking.

Children often struggle to verbalise their experiences as they have not developed the vocabulary to express themselves and therefore any difficulties they are having may present in their behaviour, ability to form friendships, family relationships or how they play.

Using the arts and can help a person express how they feel and work through any difficulties within the safety of play and metaphor.
